“The Village Saturday” – The Eve of the BGY Airport Granfondo

The day before the Bergamo granfondo will be enriched with a series of cycling-themed literary events to entertain and engage the public.

The Organizing Committee of the BGY Airport Granfondo is introducing an exciting new addition to the event’s eve, Saturday, May 3rd, hosted at the Santini Cycling headquarters in Bergamo, located at Via Zanica 14, in the Malpensata district.

While collecting their race packets, participants will have the chance to enjoy a series of cultural encounters centered around the world of cycling.

THE PROGRAM

3:30 PM

Giacomo Pellizzari presents his book “Itinerario felice”

The author shares how he pedaled through the pages of this book along the roads of the Bergamo Granfondo. Roads, routes, and champions come to life through the words and emotions of this “dangerous cyclist.”

4:30 PM

Paolo Marabini and the Sports Library (from Seriate)

The Gazzetta dello Sport journalist, writer, and sports editor for Bolis brings some of the most touching books from his sports library to the audience.

5:30 PM

Federico Biffignandi with Alessandro Vanotti – “Gregario”

Together they explore one of the most fascinating roles in professional cycling: the domestique. From the pages of the newly released book published by Bolis.

6:30 PM

Walter Cerutti – “Riprendo, anzi pedalo”

A one-on-one with a sports filmmaker who chose a hands-on profession to express his passion as an endurance athlete. A journey through anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories—before they were captured on camera!
