BGY Airport Granfondo: Showcasing the Works of Cosetta Arzuffi

On Sunday, May 4th, the collaboration with the Fondazione Creberg is renewed to promote the works of a local artist within the cycling event.

Once again in 2025, the collaboration between BGY Airport Granfondo and Fondazione Creberg continues, promoting art and culture. The prestigious amateur cycling event, which will take place on Sunday, May 4th under the aegis of the Italian Cycling Federation, once again aims to highlight aspects that, while seemingly distant from sports, are integral parts of our society and the territory hosting the event.

For one day, art and sport ride together. With this goal in mind, BGY Airport Granfondo and Fondazione Creberg have been working together for years to organize exhibitions and cultural activities under the coordination of Angelo Piazzoli, President of Fondazione Credito Bergamasco. The fusion of art and cycling transforms the race into a socially responsible event.

Many artists have already crossed the “BGY finish line”: after Marco Ceravolo, Valentina Persico, Giorgio Paris, Hemo, Steven Cavagna, Tiziano Finazzi, Zaccaria Cremaschi, Marinella Bettineschi, Trento Longaretti, Fabio Agliardi, Giovanni Bonaldi, Carlo Previtali, Emilio Belotti, and Giovanni Frangi, a new artist will showcase her works during the 2025 edition.

This year’s featured artist is Cosetta Arzuffi, whose works will be displayed in the registration area and ExpoVillage on race day.

The Artist: COSETTA ARZUFFI

Cosetta Arzuffi – a woman of great intelligence, culture, savoir-faire, and artistic talent – was born in Zanica (BG) and comes from an artistic family. She approached painting at an early age, first under the guidance of her father Arturo, then in the studio of her uncle Pasquale Arzuffi, who introduced her to classical composition. After completing her professional studies, she attended figurative drawing courses at the Marangoni Institute in Milan. She further developed her artistic skills under Maestro Luigi Arzuffi and painter Piero Urbani, and learned the art of engraving from painter Ignazio Nicoli. She also attended courses in ancient painting, pictorial, and wooden restoration. Since 1970, she has actively participated in the art scene, exhibiting in solo and group exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.

Around 1985, she began researching light, color, and the symbolic expression of thought. In 1994, she was appointed as a full member of the Diocesan Commission for Sacred Art of Bergamo for the 1994-1997 term. Her works are housed in public and private collections worldwide, including in Italy, France, Switzerland, England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Japan, Australia, Malawi, and Israel.

Her shared vision with Fondazione Creberg has led to a long and fruitful collaboration, resulting in three sophisticated and thought-provoking exhibitions – Dialogo, Virus, and L’anima e il tempo. Thanks to these exhibitions, supported by multiple showcase opportunities across the region, the artist has been able to present her works to a broad and passionate audience.
